Pearson has been the exclusive provider of the 44 foot Sail Training Craft (the “Navy 44”) to the U.S. Naval Academy for the past 20 years. Competing against the best boat builders in the U.S., Pearson has been awarded the contract every time based upon capability of workforce, quality assurance, engineering and production reliability. The Navy 44s are used for the development of the Naval Academy’s Midshipmen for the purpose of developing leadership, teamwork, seamanship and navigation capabilities.
